Career journeys rarely begin at the workplace. For Avinash Unawane, the foundation of his professional life was laid much earlier, during his school years. He believes that a career starts the moment a child enters school, where discipline, structure, and values begin shaping an individual. Studying in a strict academic environment under disciplined teachers helped him develop habits of consistency, neatness, and responsibility, values that continue to guide his life today.
Academically, Avinash Unawane showed strong performance from an early age. Through competitive examinations and scholarships, he consistently proved his merit. He secured top ranks in his 10th, 11th, and 12th board examinations. However, academic success was only the beginning. The real test of resilience came when he moved to Pune to pursue higher education.
In Pune, Avinash Unawane balanced education with his passion for cricket. Living with his sister, he attended college while also training at a cricket academy. Financial constraints were a constant challenge. At times, he chose to walk instead of taking a bus so that he could save money to pay training and camp fees. Despite participating in matches and continuing his efforts, limited financial support eventually forced him to step away from competitive cricket.
A difficult phase followed. An academic year was lost, and he had to return to his village. Soon after, the COVID-19 lockdown began, making employment opportunities scarce. With limited options and increasing responsibility, Avinash made a decisive move. With just ₹1,500 borrowed from his father, he set out once again, determined to find work within ten days and rebuild his career.
That determination led him to an opportunity at Pride Group of Companies in January 2022. What began as a job soon became a turning point in his life. The company’s work culture, especially the philosophy of “Don’t work for me, work with me,” deeply influenced him. Observing dedication among colleagues and leadership support helped him rediscover confidence and purpose.
The initial months were not easy. Despite significant effort, he failed to secure clients early on. A crucial meeting with the company’s leadership became a defining moment, where he was encouraged to stay patient, trust the process, and continue working with integrity. Those words became a source of strength.
Over the next four years, Avinash Unawane not only achieved financial stability but also experienced mental, physical, and personal growth. He learned the importance of communication, relationship building, and understanding client psychology. From struggling to close deals, he progressed to successfully handling over 200 clients. His professional growth directly impacted his personal life, enabling him to support his family, contribute to home development, and take full responsibility for household needs.
Alongside career growth came global exposure. Through company-sponsored travel, Avinash Unawane visited multiple countries, including the UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, and Oman. His first international trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi marked his first flight experience and his first journey outside Maharashtra. Each destination offered new perspectives, cultural understanding, and unforgettable experiences. He describes the Maldives as truly “heaven on earth,” a place that left a lasting impression on him.
As the company expanded globally, operations shifted from Pune to Dubai. The transition involved multiple office relocations and logistical challenges, handled collectively by the team. This phase strengthened team bonding, turning colleagues into an extended family. Living and working together for months, the sense of belonging grew stronger.
Recognizing the importance of education, the company also supported Avinash Unawane in completing his B.Com degree. He is currently pursuing an MBA, firmly believing that learning should never stop.
Today, Avinash Unawane’s journey stands as a story of perseverance, adaptability, and faith. From financial hardship to professional confidence, from local beginnings to international exposure, his experience reflects the power of dedication and belief. As he continues to grow, his focus remains on expanding his client base, deepening his knowledge, and moving forward with the same determination that shaped his journey.
