My name is Ankita Ananda Kandalkar.
I come from a small village called Nigave Khalsa, Taluka Karveer, District Kolhapur.
I was born in Savitribai Phule Hospital, Kolhapur.
From childhood itself, I was an active and confident girl. I loved speech, dance, drawing, music, and participating in every competition. Whether it was a 15th August speech, Ganpati dance, or any school activity – I was always there on stage. My mother played a big role in my early education. She made sure I studied well and also taught me values and discipline.
A Difficult Childhood but Strong Dreams
Our family lived in a very small mud house, where 9 people stayed together. Life was not easy. One day, due to heavy rainfall, water entered our house. Those nights were scary and stressful. Later, my father’s business suffered losses, and financial problems started increasing.
Loans, arguments at home, people coming to ask for money – all this became part of our daily life. Even as a child, I could feel the pressure and pain my parents were going through. That’s when I decided something very strongly in my heart –
One day, I will become so successful that no one will come to our house to ask for money.
School Life – Confidence, Awards, and Self-Belief
Despite all the problems, I never gave up on my dreams. I loved speeches, and I participated in almost every competition. I won many trophies and certificates. My house walls were filled with my drawings – from cartoon characters to creative art.
In 8th standard, I even gave a 13-minute English speech, even though English was not my strength. I still won first prize. That moment gave me huge confidence.
There were times when I couldn’t go on school trips because of money issues. I cried, but I never complained. I understood the situation at home.
10th Standard – The Turning Point
In 10th standard, my life became only about study.
Wake up – school – study – sleep.
I knew this one year would decide my future.
After 10th, reality hit harder. My father had heavy loans. People started saying, “Now she should get married.”
But I had decided something else.
I promised myself:
Before anything else, I will repay my father’s
Choosing Diploma – A Practical Decision
I chose Diploma in Civil Engineering, because I wanted to start earning as early as possible. My goal was clear – get a job, earn money, and support my family.
During this time, my mother also started working in MIDC. She worked long hours. I helped at home washing clothes, doing housework, and managing studies.
Life was tough, but my parents never said “no” to my needs. Even with limited money, they always tried to give me happiness. That motivated me even more to do something big for them..
Corona Phase – Struggle, Learning, and Self-Growth
After my diploma, COVID came, and job opportunities stopped. I stayed at home, but I didn’t waste time. I learned new things, explored my interests, even worked in short films and web series.
That experience was very hard. Long shoots, physical exhaustion, and finally not getting paid. That phase taught me a very important lesson
Not everyone who promises success is honest.
I decided to stop that path and focus on a stable future.
Pune to Kolhapur – Job Hunt Struggles
I moved to Pune with friends, carrying dreams and very little money. Days passed, but no job. Stress, confusion, and fear surrounded me.
Finally, I got selected in a company. I still remember waiting outside the office from morning till evening without food, just hoping for one chance. That day, my selection happened. I cried with happiness.
That was the moment when my life started changing.
Career Growth and Pride Journey
After joining the company, my growth started. Salary increased, targets achieved, awards won. I became a top performer.
I cleared all my father’s loans within one year – something I had once promised myself to do in four years.
I bought gold for my
parents, phones for them, gave them comfort and respect. The same people who once doubted me started respecting me.
International Exposure and Dreams Come True
Because of my performance, I got opportunities to travel internationally –
Dubai, Singapore, Maldives, Malaysia, Cruise trips.
I stayed in luxury hotels, experienced a life I once only dreamed of.
The biggest proud moment
I made my parents travel by flight for the first time.
I took them to Dubai, fulfilling their dreams and mine.
Today – A Woman with Value, Confidence, and Vision
Today, I work in Dubai, living a life I once imagined from a small village.
I created my own identity, value, and image.
I love helping others, feeding the poor, spreading happiness. Giving makes me happy.
This journey was not easy. There were tears, failures, late nights, sacrifices but also learning, growth, and success.
This Is Not the End
I am just 25 years old.
This is not the end of my story.
This is just the beginning.
There is a lot more to achieve, a lot more to give, and many dreams yet to come true.
Thank you for reading my journey.
