Havaianas x Isabel Marant Sandals

Few footwear styles capture the carefree spirit of summer quite like the flip-flop—long loved for its ease, versatility, and unfussy cool. And the brand best known for them? That would be Havaianas, of course. Whether styled with a white tee and jeans à la Hailey Bieber or paired with a string bikini and sarong for sandy beach days ahead, the warm-weather staple has become a favorite among fashion people and designers alike. Last week, Isabel Marant and Havaianas unveiled their inaugural summer collaboration: four flip-flop styles ranging from tie-dyed pairs to studded sandals. To say they sold out instantly would be an understatement. Luckily, I was able to snag this pink and red tie-dye pair from Shopbop. Unlikely to stay in stock for much long, add them to your cart now and your summer capsule wardrobe will instantly feel cooler. In other words? They’re the French girl-approved flip-flops of the summer.—Laura Lillian Jackson Nalle, contributing editor

Alex Mill’s Perfect Weekend Tote

I’ve waxed poetic about my Alex Mill weekender more times than I can count; ahead of the long weekend, it feels fitting to do so again. I’ll preface with this: this is not your ordinary canvas tote. To me, it’s really a giant nesting doll. It’s amusingly bigger than I am, but fits everything I need and then some—laptop, lunch, snacks, a deceivingly heavy hardcover, possibly a small handbag, highly likely an extra pair of shoes. I never travel without it, and when it’s not perched on my carry-on, I sling it over my shoulder. The straps are long, but not too long—just right. I have it in black and in canvas, but there’s always room for one more. The name says it all: it really is the Perfect Weekend Tote. —Talia Abbas, shopping director
