Corinthia Brussels Launches In-Suite Tailoring Experience with Pursuit Femmes

Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels has partnered with Belgian bespoke tailoring house Pursuit Femmes to launch The Tailoring Suite, an in-suite fitting experience available to hotel guests and outside visitors by appointment.

Pursuit Femmes was founded five years ago by sisters Joy and Jill van der Heijden, and their mother, Angélique van Gils. It was a family venture born from a gap they identified in the market. Joy and Jill are the fourth generation of a tailoring family that, up until five years ago, had only focused on menswear. “We were like, ‘Why isn’t there something for women?’ Then we said, ‘OK, we need to make a business that’s also for women’s tailoring, and that’s when we created Pursuit Femmes,” Joy told WWD.

The brand specializes in fully customizable made-to-measure garments. Clients choose their fabric, cut and details, down to the lining, the button style and an optional personal quote stitched inside the collar. “It’s all in the details,” Joy said.

The house has dressed Belgian American psychotherapist and author Esther Perel and DJ Lost Frequencies, and has developed bespoke uniform programs for corporate clients, including Porsche.

At Corinthia Brussels, the experience works as follows. Guests book an appointment three to 14 days in advance and complete a short questionnaire about their style preferences and intended use for the garment. The Pursuit Femmes team arrives at the hotel with a curated selection of fabrics and measurement samples, already filtered based on the client’s responses. The consultation takes place in one of the hotel’s suites, accompanied by Champagne and canapés. The finished garment is delivered weeks later, with fittings and adjustments available on request.

The Tailoring Suite is the first offering under Corinthia Brussels’s new Curated Experiences initiative, a program designed to connect guests with Belgian craft, culture and creativity through partnerships with local specialists. The hotel is also home to speakeasy bar Under the Stairs, Belgian brasserie Le Petit Bon Bon, gastronomic restaurant Palais Royal, and Coutume, a concept store for Belgian designers.

For Pursuit Femmes, the collaboration extends a model the brand already operates across Belgium and the Netherlands, where it serves private clients, businesses and restaurants through a mobile tailoring service. Van der Heijden said the longer-term ambition is to expand the concept internationally, placing the brand’s tailors in partner hotels in other cities. “We have, with the family atelier, the capacity to make suits all over the world,” she said.

The Tailoring Suite is open to both in-house and external guests, by reservation through Corinthia Brussels or Pursuit Femmes directly.
