How Meshki Is Rethinking Swimwear Fit With Its New Capsule

Australian fashion label Meshki is releasing its first swimwear capsule since 2020. The selection, with pieces designed to move between beach, resort and ready-to-wear, is part of the brand’s Elsewhere resort collection.

“There is arguably no category more aligned to our mission to empower women than swimwear, because it sits at the intersection of confidence, fit and how women feel in their own bodies. We design for the moments our customer is actually living through, whether that’s travel, holidays or key milestones in their lives,” Courtney Judd, head of brand marketing, press and influencer of Meshki told WWD. “This was the first time since 2020 that we really took the time to step back, rethink the category and rebuild it from the ground up. We wanted to better understand what women were missing from swimwear and create something that genuinely feels good to wear and fits properly on the body.”

The capsule was created with the help of a specialist swimwear designer to focus on the technical side of the product.

“We spent months refining the details that genuinely matter, from the architecture and support of a cup to adjustable fit innovations, redesigned silhouettes and the inclusion of premium Italian Carvico fabric against the skin. Every style went through multiple rounds of fittings to make sure the pieces not only looked beautiful, but actually felt comfortable and secure on the body,” Judd said.

Pieces of the capsule feature floral motifs, custom botanical prints, shell charms, embroidery and hand-beading. One-pieces double as bodysuits, and separates are intended for layering and styling, according to the brand.

The capsule will be officially available on Tuesday, spanning sizes XXS to 3XL with adjustable underwire constructions that allow customers to shop according to cup size while adapting the band fit across multiple sizes.
